I have been a member of barter organizations for 20 years and know the power of barter. My company has used barter money for: computers, computer services, office furniture and decorations, framing, accounting, office space, physicians, lawyer, eye glasses, and extra bonuses for sales people. These are just some of the things that I have gotten on barter.
Barter saved my business after 9/11. People were afraid to spend money after 9/11. Our business had 6 months with no revenues. We were able to keep our business going with barter.

I love Gulf Coast Trade Exchange because I can find lots of local businesses and services. Gulf Coast Trade does not charge a fee for selling and buying. They only charge a cash fee when buying. This is an advantage because you do not want to pay a cash fee when you sell something. You only want to pay a cash fee when buying items. Gulf Coast Trade Exchange also charges a smaller cash fee than most barter companies.
